North Iowa hosts golf opener with Lake Mills, Belmond-Klemme

The North Iowa and Lake Mills golf teams kicked off their season with a triangular at Gruis Recreation Area on Friday, Apr. 10, which also featured Belmond-Klemme.
Lake Mills led the way on the boys’ side, where the Bulldogs scored 167 for first place. Belmond-Klemme followed in second with 175, and North Iowa scored 206 in the season opener.

Indians open golf season at Spring Valley

The Forest City golf teams performed well despite less-than-ideal conditions for their first meet of the season at Spring Valley Golf Course on Thursday, Apr. 9. The Forest City boys took first place in the triangular, while the girls finished in a close second place.

NI/FC trap shooting team grows this spring

The combined North Iowa and Forest City trap shooting team has a big group out for the co-ed sport this spring, with the high school team now open to eighth graders. Teresa Cooper returns as head coach for the program, and she’s assisted by Duane Cooper.

Lake Mills returns record holders

The Lake Mills track and field teams are in a strong position as they begin the 2026 season, with a number of school record holders returning and big squads for both the boys and girls. Kelli Helgeson is the new head coach for Lake Mills track and field this season, and she is assisted by Grant Dieken, Max Deeter, and Laken Rodemaker.
