The Forest City golf teams performed well despite less-than-ideal conditions for their first meet of the season at Spring Valley Golf Course on Thursday, Apr. 9. The Forest City boys took first place in the triangular, while the girls finished in a close second place.

The combined North Iowa and Forest City trap shooting team has a big group out for the co-ed sport this spring, with the high school team now open to eighth graders. Teresa Cooper returns as head coach for the program, and she’s assisted by Duane Cooper.

The Forest City Indians made an unexpected trip to the Ram Early Bird track & field meet in Jefferson on Friday, Apr. 10, as they took the opportunity to compete after meets earlier in the week were cancelled due to weather.

The Lake Mills track and field teams are in a strong position as they begin the 2026 season, with a number of school record holders returning and big squads for both the boys and girls. Kelli Helgeson is the new head coach for Lake Mills track and field this season, and she is assisted by Grant Dieken, Max Deeter, and Laken Rodemaker.
